The RS-MITU is an isolation PDU, that provides full isolation between the input power source and the output. This unit has been designed to be used as a high protection and filtered element in electrical supply for electronics systems joints that be part of a work system.
The outputs of the unit are isolated and none of the active poles of the output is connected to the earth. In case of a single fault, if one the poles is going to touch the chassis of the equipment, the differential protection of the UNIT through the Insulation Monitoring Device is going to be activated.
The Isolation Transformer of the unit RS-MITU is a transformer that in addition to the protection against electrical shocks and principal isolation includes supplementary safety measures as the reinforced isolation, that limits in the fed circuit by the secondary winding the risks in the accidental simultaneous contact between ground and the active parts, to the same potential parts of the body, in the event of an isolation defect.
